- 1 medium (400g) sweet potato, peeled and chopped coarsely
- 1½ cups (375mL) water
- 1 cup (80g) broccoli florets
- ½ cup (60g) frozen peas
How to make
- Place sweet potato and water in a small saucepan, bring to the boil; reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes; add broccoli and peas, cook a further 5 minutes or until tender.
- Puree or mash according to baby’s age.
Puree can now be frozen for use at a later date.
For convenient quantities, place puree into ice cube trays and freeze. Each cube is equal to about 1 tablespoonful, which is just right for babies just starting out.
